AWD (Amazon Warehousing and Distribution)

Amazon's bulk-warehousing and distribution service, sitting alongside FBA and MCF (Multi-Channel Fulfillment) in Amazon's logistics stack. Sellers can hold bulk inventory in AWD and have it fed into FBA/MCF as needed, reducing the seller's own staffing and warehouse footprint.

Apply: Combine AWD with FBA/MCF for added scalability when volume grows. Caveat: AWD still adds a storage cost line that can erode margin on large, bulky products — the same product traits that already push a seller toward FBM in the FBA vs. FBM (Fulfillment Model Split) framework, so AWD does not fully solve the bulky-product cost problem.
