Frame Is Built by Friction, Not Knowledge

Hughes's "OWN Any Room" claims frame control isn't acquired through knowledge — "Frame doesn't get built by knowledge. It gets built by friction" — positioning deliberate, practiced discomfort as the actual mechanism of change, with the lecture itself necessary but not sufficient. See Charisma as a Trainable Skill (Reps) and Progressive Desensitization (Approach Anxiety) for the same reps-over-theory logic applied elsewhere.

Micro-behaviors said to let a frame be absorbed by someone else: pause before speaking, smile with the eyes, move less, and speak slower/softer — the claim being that softness and stillness read as higher-status than volume or energy, and make the other person lean in and orbit your energy. Contrast Eye Contact as an Emphasis Tool, Not a Constant Stare and Calmness as a Physiological Safety Signal.

Four drills given to build frame:

End state described is frame as identity rather than tactic: "Be the one who doesn't move and you'll be the one who moves everybody else."
