This is a false choice. Women's two archetypal wants — a high-value man who may not stay, and a loyal man who stays but may not be high-value — only present as a dichotomy when one man fails to deliver both. The actual ideal is a single man who is high-value enough to be chosen as a lover and willing to provide emotional stability and some material generosity. Adding providing behavior on top of already-earned lover-level value doesn't dilute that value — it multiplies it. Supplementing across two different men (one for excitement, one for stability) is the fallback when no single man clears both bars, not the goal state.
