Momentum Flywheel

A compounding growth mechanism for Amazon (and e-commerce generally): a keyword search leads to a purchase, purchases build sales velocity, velocity drives organic rank, and higher rank pulls in more organic traffic and searches, which feeds the cycle again. Once turning, growth compounds steadily rather than through random spikes — a cited example climbs a keyword rank from 137 to 68 to 22 to 6 over 21 days.

Distinct from one-off tactics (better bids, better images) in that it reframes the seller's job as giving the cycle itself an initial push — via launch plus active promotion — rather than optimizing individual levers in isolation. The flywheel never starts turning when a product is fully developed but never promoted (see Hidden Genius Pattern), and it is closely related to the compounding logic in Customer Experience → Organic Sales Compounding Chain and to why Keyword Concentration Principle (Top 3–5 Keywords Drive 80–90% of Sales) makes early velocity on a small set of keywords disproportionately valuable for triggering rank gains.
