Multi-Team Parallel Assignment for Critical Bets

A hedge against execution risk on the highest-stakes problems in a Product Strategy: assign the same critical problem to more than one team simultaneously, deliberately duplicating effort so that different skill sets attack it in parallel and the odds that at least one team succeeds go up.

This is a variant of Placing Bets (Strategy-as-Bets Framing) — instead of betting the outcome of a critical problem on a single team's execution, the bet itself is hedged by running multiple attempts at once. Reserve it for the problems where failure is most costly; using it broadly defeats the Work-in-Progress Limits for Strategic Focus discipline the rest of the strategy depends on.
