A facilitation technique for forcing a single, honest priority order out of a team that resists trade-offs: write each roadmap item or priority on its own post-it note, then physically rank the notes in a single column on a wall. Ties aren't allowed — every item ends up strictly above or below every other item, which makes it much harder for a team to retreat to 'these are all equally important.'
Used especially with CEOs and executive teams who instinctively want an 'AND' list (see 'OR Organization' vs. 'AND Organization' (Trade-Off Avoidance Framing)); the physical, single-file constraint of the wall does the work that a verbal argument about prioritization usually can't.
