Reveal Your Vitals (Open Posture as Threat-Response Reset)

A body-language reset that counteracts the instinctive defensive posture triggered by social discomfort. Social discomfort fires the same defensive reflex as physical threat — covering the face, shrinking to protect the throat, chest, inner arms, and groin — even when no real danger is present. "Revealing vitals" means deliberately doing the opposite: uncrossing arms, opening the chest, lifting the chin, turning palms and arms outward, using bigger gestures that move the arms off the sides of the body, and optionally adding platonic touch (hugs, high-fives, shoulder pats).

This is a physical entry point into the same state that Confident Entrance (Body Language & Energy) and Congruence Principle (Words, Tone, Body, Eye Contact) describe from other angles — an open, exposed posture reads as safety/confidence to an observer precisely because it overrides the threat-defense reflex. It pairs with Calmness as a Physiological Safety Signal: an open chest and outward palms are a physiological signal, not just a cosmetic one.

One of four habits (with Verbally Own Your Experience (Naming Autonomic Reactions), Eye Contact as an Emphasis Tool, Not a Constant Stare, and Explore What Feels Good (Comfort-Zone Framing)) presented together as sufficient for top-tier body-language communication.
