Seasonality Check via Historical Sales Data & Google Trends

Some products only sell well during specific months of the year, so demand validation must include a seasonality check independent of the point-in-time sales snapshot used elsewhere in the process (see Main Keyword & Organic Listing Validation Protocol). This is done by pulling historical sales graphs (e.g. via Helium 10) or checking Google Trends for the product/keyword, confirming demand is either stable year-round or that the seller understands and can plan around the seasonal pattern before committing to inventory.

Worked Examples

Ice baths show only a mild seasonal bump around Christmas but otherwise sell fairly consistently year-round — a shape that passes the check. Contrast with a product like pool noodles, which sell almost exclusively in summer months and show near-zero demand the rest of the year — a shape that should raise a seasonality flag before committing to year-round inventory and fixed costs.
