Structural fix for chronic cross-team conflict: instead of two teams (or two PMs) each owning one side of a tradeoff and negotiating for months, make a single PM accountable for both competing levers at once — e.g., one PM owns both discovery and ads at Whatnot. Because the same person absorbs both sides of the tension, trade-offs self-align instead of requiring escalation.
