Anti-pattern where a Product Model (vs. Roadmap Model) transformation is confined to product and engineering while sales, marketing, and customer service continue operating under the old model, unconsulted and unaffected. Because those functions were never brought along, they see the transformation as disruptive rather than beneficial, and stakeholder backlash from outside product/tech can collapse the effort within months — faster than any internal execution problem would. The fix implied is the same one that makes Extended Trio (Commercial Stakeholders in Product Trios) and Win-Together Culture (Breaking Down Silos) work elsewhere in the product operating model: transformation has to include the commercial and customer-facing functions as participants, not bystanders. Part of the Product-Model Transformation Anti-Patterns (Taxonomy) taxonomy.
