Two-Tier Keyword List Strategy
After the master keyword list is assembled, each keyword is manually checked by searching it on Amazon in 'All Departments' and comparing the results to the actual product. This splits the list into two tiers:
- High-match tier — search results actually match the product; these keywords get used in the visible listing (title, bullets, description) and in PPC campaigns.
- Mismatched-intent tier — search results don't match the product (the keyword's dominant shopper intent is for something else); these keywords are still indexed via Amazon Generic Keywords (Backend Search Terms Field) for backend discoverability, but are never used in visible copy or PPC, since targeting mismatched-intent traffic would waste spend on clicks unlikely to convert.
This is a manual QA gate that runs after keyword aggregation (via Reverse ASIN Lookup (Helium 10 Cerebro), Sellerize Keyword Re-ranker, etc.) and before Two-Step Conversion-Then-Indexing SOP.
