AI-Powered Triple Threat

A predicted emerging role in which a single person operates as product manager, designer, and engineer simultaneously while leading a team whose other members are AI tools, agents, or platforms rather than additional human specialists.

It is framed as succeeding the traditional Product Trio (or 'Triad') because one person with a broad skill blend, augmented by AI, can move faster than a small team coordinating through handoffs — an extension of the shift described in LinkedIn's Full-Stack Builder Model and System Builders vs. Full-Stack Builders vs. Specialists, but going further by making AI agents literal team members rather than just tools the person uses.

Distinct from a generic T-Shaped Operating Model generalist: the Triple Threat specifically 'spikes' in one discipline while staying competent across all three. Companies are advised to build custom team structures around such individuals — organize around motivated individuals rather than defaulting to a prescriptive Triad template — and to give them power and budget once identified.
