Amazon Review Guideline Violation Reporting

Amazon's buyer-facing review content guidelines define a specific set of reasons a product review can be reported and removed, distinct from ordinary negative-but-compliant reviews. Reportable categories include: discussion of the seller, order, shipping, packaging, or product condition/damage (rather than the product itself); comments on an individual buyer's specific pricing experience (general value-for-money commentary is allowed); text written in a language unsupported by the marketplace; spam, repetitive text, or symbol art; private information (phone number, email, order number); profanity, harassment, or hate speech; sexual content not specific to the product; external links; ads, promotional content, or competitor-sabotage reviews (a rival leaving a negative review or ad on a competing listing); mentions of illegal activity; and medical claims.

The compliant workflow is to sort a product's 1–3 star reviews by most recent, screen them against this list, and click the 'report' link next to a violating review so Amazon can investigate. Helium 10 Review Insights is used to pull recent low-star reviews by date range to speed this audit. This sits alongside, but is distinct from, Amazon Review Acquisition Tactics Risk Spectrum (which concerns acquiring reviews) and Seller Feedback Removal (Feedback Manager) (a separate guideline set governing feedback left on the seller profile rather than the product page).
