Use this as a checklist: a title matching one of these four roles is not evidence the person is doing the job — check whether they're actually doing Discovery (Product Discovery Process), setting Product Strategy, or just running a delivery process. Cagan is pointed about the failure mode: "That is not a job, that's a role on in a delivery process — that's not a job," aimed at the "product owner" title in particular.
