A sequencing and communication discipline: write the PRD after discovery concludes (as a record of what was learned and decided), not before it as a speculative spec — and always walk the team through it live in a kickoff meeting rather than posting it to Slack and assuming silence means agreement.
The failure mode being corrected is the Air Sandwich (Strategic Context Gap): a document dropped into a channel carries none of the context, tone, or nuance of the reasoning behind it, and silence is not confirmation. A live kickoff (Zoom or in-person) surfaces objections and questions while they're still cheap to address, complementing Prototype of the Day as a discovery-time ritual.
