Texture vs Clarity vs Dehaze (Lightroom Mobile Effects Sliders)

Three of Lightroom Mobile's Effects-tab sliders each manipulate a distinct property of a photo, and confusing them leads to muddled edits:

All three are bidirectional — the 'correct' direction depends on the image and desired mood, not a fixed intensifying default. One creator's habitual ratio across the three is captured in Diagonal-Line Ordering Heuristic (Texture > Clarity > Dehaze). The Effects tab also includes Vignette as Subliminal (Should-Be-Invisible) Eye Guidance, a fourth slider with a distinct, non-detail purpose (eye-direction rather than edge/tone/color manipulation).

Negative Dehaze for Glow/Bloom

Dehaze is usually pulled positive to cut through haze, but dragged negative inside a local mask it produces a soft glow/bloom rather than added contrast. Used to make a fabricated light source (see Simulated Sun / Light Source via Radial Gradient + Negative Dehaze) look like it's physically bleeding light into the lens — an underused move relative to how often positive dehaze and clarity get reached for.
