Three Core Vision Ingredients

A real Product Vision must be built from three non-negotiable ingredients, per SVPG's John Moore: (1) validated business and customer problems — not assumed ones, (2) alignment with corporate/executive strategy, and (3) a glimpse of the revenue/monetization path. A document missing any of these three isn't yet a vision, however it's dressed up. Contrast with Supplementary Vision Ingredients, which add "zing" but aren't load-bearing. Before drafting, confirm you can point to validated customer problems (see Trainline Research Method (Deep-Then-Broad Validation) for one way to get there), articulate the exec-level strategic bets behind Business Strategy, and sketch how the vision makes money.
